Once Upon A Winter Dream is a visual novel created for the Winter Jam challenge, re-imagining the classic tale of The Nutcracker with a unique twist.  It is a work in progress and currently only Chapter 1 is complete.

The Story

Will she break the curse and find out the truth—before it’s too late?

Lady Clara Marie Strahlbaum is accustomed to the trappings of high society, but there’s one thing that haunts her heart—an inexplicable longing for someone she cannot remember. As her mother urges her to find a suitable suitor, Clara is convinced that the man she truly desires is someone she has forgotten. But who is he? And why does her heart ache so deeply for someone she has never met?

On Christmas Eve, everything changes when Clara receives a peculiar gift from her mysterious Grand Uncle Drosselmier—a beautifully carved Nutcracker. As midnight strikes, Clara is suddenly swept away into the magical world of Faerie, where she must embark on a perilous journey to recover the memories she’s lost, and the man she believes is her true love.
